Review of Nail Fungus Treatments:

Best Nail Fungus Treatments (in priority order):

#1 Fungavir – More Information

Fungavir Nail Fungus Treatment Review

More Info

Approval Rating: 98.4% (based on ingredient research)

Product Claims:

The editor’s choice, Fungavir, has received many positive reviews given by former nail fungus suffers. Fungavir contains twice the amount of safe, natural ingredients found in any other product. It is a multifaceted product as it kills any and all types of fungus. It is safe for anyone, 100% pure with no added fillers or chemicals and no side effects. Fungavir is a clear, pleasantly smelling liquid that is quickly absorbed by the nail and seeps deep into the nail bed and surrounding skin. Fungavir is the clear winner and is a bargain since for a small cost, the results are exceptional.

Fungavir has been able to achieve its high results because of the high concentration of the strongest fungus fighters yet known. Other products we tested may have contained some of these components but just a few, never the amount or concentration found in Fungavir. Representatives of the company, when people called customer service, received high praise for their patience, knowledge and concern for those they were counseling.

Fungavir is produced in an FDA approved laboratory and GMP certified in the USA. It is found safe for any and all nail fungus sufferers, no matter the gender or age or severity of the problem. Fungavir feels so strongly in their product that they offer a 100% money back guarantee.

Fungavir offers a package deal that cannot be beat by its competitors.  Fungavir offers 2 bottles free if you order 2 bottles, which comes to $24.95 a bottle when you order the 4 bottle special. The fact that you are guaranteed results for a treatment that costs about $22.00, along with a 60 day guarantee for your money back, now that is an offer hard to beat.

Our Conclusion:

Fungavir is ahead of the competition, as evaluated by our editors.  When you list all the positives, the large number of satisfied customers, the short time period of treatment necessary and the reasonable price, it is hard not to not come to this conclusion.  This definitely is the editor’s choice and we believe, the best product available.

#2 ZetaClearMore Information

Approval Rating: 79.3%

Product Claims:

Zeta Clear comes in 2 different formulations, an oral under the tongue spray, and a topical solution.  There have been confusing reports as to the effectiveness of the oral spray, which we understand is sold so that the product can be considered homeopathic.  But the feedback from consumers is more positive when it comes to the topical solution.  It does contain some of the more potent known fungus killers, but not in large percentages.  One of the components is almond oil.  This may prove to be a difficulty with anyone who is allergic to certain types of nuts, and Market Health admits that it has not been tested for this possibility.  (click here for a ingredient comparison)

We would like to see ZetaClear add more key ingredients to make their product more effective. Also the percentage of key ingredients should be raised.

The value of these products is difficult to calculate.  As you have to purchase it as a set, the oral spray and the topical solution, the price of $49.95 could be considered justified if both preparations were highly rated rather than just one.  It also states that treatment may need to exceed 6 months which could make this a very expensive treatment. Their return policy also did not allow for any opened bottles to be returned. So, if you try it and it does not work, you cannot return it.

Our Conclusion:

Many people liked the fact that it was homeopathic, yet for others it was a turn off.  We would like to see them add more important anti-fungal ingredients to their solution. We also have a concern about their return policy. and their customer service. If ZetaClear included more anti-fungal ingredients and improved their customer service and return policy it could gain in the ranks.

#3 Nail-RxMore Information

Approval Rating: 76.7%

Product Claims:

Nail-Rx is a natural product, 100% safe with no known side effects.  It contains only natural products and does contain some of the best fungus fighters that are known.  It states that it promotes healthy nails while treating the fungus infection.  Although it states the sufferer should see some type of improvement in a few weeks, the entire length of treatment is unknown.  It is a liquid to be dabbed on the offensive nails  2 to 3 times on a daily basis.  Therefore how long the bottle will last depends on the frequency of use.

The main problem that we can see is that it only contains four ingredients and lacks in some of the main anti fungal ingredients. (click here for a ingredient comparison) Customer service was a bit confused when spoken with.  Native Remedies does produce several other types of products. So, customer service was not helpful with consumer questions. But to be fair, this problem may be isolated to just one person, which is hoped for the sake of the company.

The price of $47.95 could be considered a bit steep for a medication that may be needed for months on end.  But there is a good return policy if there is not any improvement within an acceptable period of time.

Our Conclusion:

It would be expected that a product of this price would contain a solution with a higher percentage of active ingredient.  The “iffy” situation of how many times per day it should be used and the indefinite length of total treatment make it hard to compare with other products.  Also the fact that you have to apply it with your finger makes it unsanitary and the possibility of spreading the fungus to other nails possible.  It would be better to apply it with a Q-Tip or other such vehicle but that would incur an additional cost.

#4 H-Nail FungusMore Information

Approval Rating: 74.3%

Product Claims:

H-Nail Fungus is a product considered to be 100% safe, with no known side effects.  It is a natural product containing Tea Tree Oil and Lavender Oil.  There were some good testimonials but they all agreed that the complete treatment time was an unknown; each seemed to have a different one.  And the web site admits that they cannot give a good estimate of the possible length of treatment.

This is also a liquid preparation that does not supply a brush with the product.  The company suggests that you drop a bit on your nail and then massage it into the nail and surrounding tissue.  This may be a way of spreading the fungus to the surrounding nails.  The best would be to use a Q-Tip or use disposable gloves to apply.  This is a product that should not be used by anyone under the age of 6 although they do not indicate why.

There are two different size bottles, although the smaller is too small for any length of treatment to be effective.  It would be more cost effective to go with the larger, 33 ml bottle from the start.  For the formulation of natural products the cost of $69.95 appears to be high.  Customer service admitted that the length of treatment time is unknown; they had no idea of any possible end time. There is a 60 guarantee on empty or full bottles.

Our Conclusion:

It is the editor’s belief that H-Nail Fungus does not contain enough key anti-fungal ingredients to make it effective for everyone. If they were able to add some of the key anti-fungal ingredients and reduce the price considerably we would give it a better rating. H-Nail Fungus was one of the most expensive of the nail fungus treatments.

#5 Dermisil More Information

Approval Rating: 62.1%

Product Claims:

Dermisil has only two active fungus fighting ingredients, Tea Tree Oil and Lemongrass, less than found in any other preparation. While these are important anti-fugal ingredients, you can find these and many others in the other products reviewed. Most of the other products evaluated contained many more key ingredients. (click here for a ingredient comparison) Dermisil comes in bottles of 2 different sizes 10ml at $24.95 and 30ml at $49.95.  Obviously the larger bottle would be the better buy.  It also offers an anti-fungus soap. This is also a company that offers products for a wide range of problems.

The 33ml bottle can be purchased separately for $49.95 or accompanied with the soap for $79.95.  For a product that appears low in active ingredients this price seems to be high.  Their return policy is vague and appears to say yes, there is a 60 day money back guarantee but only if you buy it from their web site and not through another retailer.  But please check on this before purchasing. But it is one of the few products you can get in stores.

Our Conclusion:

For the low concentration of ingredients the high price does not seen justified.  There are other preparations under this name that are pointed to other conditions. Perhaps they will reformulate this product to keep up with other products that contain a larger amount of the necessary core ingredients.
